EDF Luminus launches Luminus Home Solutions

Luminus Home Solutions

EDF Luminus has acquired a 50% stake in Rami Services. The collaboration between both companies is confirmed today with the launch of new services for private individuals: Luminus Boiler Maintenance and the Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone, designed by Philippe Starck.

Rami Services and EDF Luminus, no strangers

Rami Services was founded in 2003 and is based in Zwijnaarde. The company boasts a network of over 250 independent installers spread over the whole of Belgium, who carry out urgent repairs inside or outside houses within the scope of an assistance policy to stabilise the situation and prevent further damage. In addition, Rami Services coordinates final repairs resulting from damage covered by a fire insurance policy.

EDF Luminus and Rami Services are no strangers. The latter has ensured EDF Luminus’s Comfort Service, to which 90,000 EDF Luminus customers have subscribed so far, for many years. This service has achieved a customer satisfaction score of >95% and guarantees urgent interventions by professionals inside or outside houses within 24 hours on a 24/7 basis. Today, EDF Luminus announced that it has acquired a 50% stake in Rami Services.

Grégoire Dallemagne, CEO of EDF Luminus: “The partnership with Rami Services fits perfectly into our strategy of extending our offer as an energy supplier with energy services. EDF Luminus will be able to rely on a high-quality network of 250 technicians to provide customers with innovative solutions. This will enable our customers to make energy savings.”

Pierre Hanet, CEO of Rami Services: “This joint venture will allow us to achieve our ambitious growth plans and jointly launch new innovative products and services.”

Luminus Boiler Maintenance

The first concrete result of this partnership is the launch of the new services “Luminus Boiler Maintenance” and “Boiler Maintenance & Repair”, which ensure the maintenance and/or repair of oil or gas-fired boilers. One of the main strengths of these new services is the availability of a 24/7 hotline. Moreover, the customer is proactively notified when it is time to perform maintenance on their boiler so as to meet the legal requirements.

The Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone

Thanks to an exclusive partnership with Netatmo, EDF Luminus customers can now also enjoy the Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone, designed by Starck, as well as its professional installation by the network of installers of Rami Services.

The Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone makes it possible to reduce energy consumption and increase user comfort. In a split second, the customer can remotely control their heating by means of their smartphone, tablet or computer. But these are not the only advantages of the tool. The Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone defines a programme depending on the lifestyle of the residents and takes into account the building’s insulation and the outside temperature so that the desired temperature is always reached at the right moment. Every month, customers receive a personalised report on their energy consumption as well as energy tips. This way, they can reduce their environmental footprint. Finally, the unique design of the Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone was made by Philippe Starck!

The Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone costs € 199, including installation by a qualified EDF Luminus installer, and is available in presale as from tomorrow via www.luminus.be.

Kris Vervaet, Chief Commercial Officer of EDF Luminus: “EDF Luminus is pleased to offer this state-of-the-art technology exclusively in Belgium in combination with its well-known 5-star customer service.  Thanks to the smart thermostat with professional installation, we make sure customers are able to enjoy not just real energy savings but also comfort and carefree use. The choice of these 2 partners is no coincidence: with Rami and Netatmo we aim to reach the same quality level we require from ourselves. Good boiler maintenance, a smart thermostat and raising the awareness of our customers via #noblackout will prepare them for the winter.”
