Corda Campus companies join forces for Open Company Day
Numerous companies will open their doors to the general public on Sunday 5 October 2014 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Corda Campus, the internationally prominent technology campus in Hasselt, will also take part in Open Company Day. Visitors will be able to take a close look at the brand-new Corda building at the site for the first time and visit 10 Corda companies as well.
Corda Campus has laid out a route which will take visitors from company to company in a pleasant way. You can collect the route map at the Info Point before you start your visit to the site. Afterwards, you can have a drink at the Lounge Cafe.
The participating companies on the campus are IPG, EDF Luminus, Mobile Vikings, Right Brain Interface, Corda INCubator, Beckhoff, De Dienst Ondersteuningsplan (DOP – Support Plan Service), ADO-Icarus and Intrust Box Verhuur.

During Open Company day, you can discover how Corda INCubator operates and what the possibilities are. A number of residents will also give fun demonstrations. Kids who want to learn how to program can enjoy themselves during the Corda CoderDojo between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. They will learn to build websites and develop games in a fun way.

ADO Icarus is an NPO which ensures that nearly two hundred Flemish persons with serious physical disabilities can live in individual units 24/7. The organisation employs about 300 people. Coordination takes place in ten centres for independent living throughout Flanders. The headquarters are located at Corda Campus.
During Open Company Day, you can navigate an “obstacle course” in a wheelchair at ADO Icarus. This way, you can discover how simple obstacles such as a sloping pavement or a door can be a major challenge for wheelchair users. You can also win fun prizes in a quiz.

InTrust Box Verhuur has offered temporary or permanent customised storage space to private individuals and businesses since 2011. Their self-storage space is suitable for promotional materials, archives, furniture, overstocks ... Units from 3 m² are available.
During a short guided tour of the InTrust Box Verhuur building, you will discover the different storage rooms. You can also see what a compartmentalised unit looks like.
